Staal stays

http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?articleid=282120&page=NewsPage&service=page

Jordan staal, younger brother of eric staal and marc staal, and older borther of jared staal, no relation to bathroom staal, was recently given the news that he will be staying with the Pittsburgh pengions and the NHL, rather then being sent down to his junior team, peterborough. he has played 9 games totalling 4 goals ad 1 assist, 3 of his goals were shrothanded and one of thsoe were on a penality shot. he has to only play 1 more game, to ttotal 10, in order for his nhl slalary to kick in.

this is amazing for the penguins. the penguins were the a bsoolute worst in the league last year and now this` year they have a shot at going for in the playoffs if things contunie like this. they have arguably one of the best first lines with malkin-crosby-armstrong, who combine to a total of 63 years old, only 20 years older then chris chelios, crosby is amazing and got his first hat tricks saturday, malkin has socred evert game hes played so far, including one amazing goal. jordan staal with more confidence will be amazing. sergei gonchar and ryan whiteny are amazing defenceman and marce andere fleury is ana amazing goalie. john lecalir is good for leadership and 50 points, while recchi has stepped up his game since his stint with carolina.

Forsberg lifts flyers out of slump

Peter Forsberg score 2 goals in a 3-0 win over the chicago blackhawks. his first goal was a beautiful backhand goal after a pass from Ruzicka and his second goal was the nicest goal ever scored in the nhl after he deked around 2 defeders and slit it past brian boucher. simon gagne added the empty entter with 30 secodns left. mike richards scored a goal that was waved off because the refs were bad and lost sight of the puck and blew the whistle before it went in. forsberg also had a few huge hits.

i am very happy see this becuase peter forsberg is amazing and is god. i was very sad to see philly in a bad slump, i think it is just a matter of their 2 3 and 4 lines to regain confidence. i dont mean to just say forsberg and gagne's line is playing amazing, but they are gfetting a lot of points, ken hitcock was a bad coach and just intimidated his playes and too ktheir confidence, now its a period where they need to regain it and this win is a good tsart.

Noah

Beforehand I chose to be a criminal lawyer. After answering all the like or dislike things, I got Criminal Lawyer as my third ranked choice. Behind Polotician at #1 and Radio person at #2. I would never in my life want to be either of those 2 things, so I guess I technically got what I originally chose to be. I didn not find CEGEP programs but I found University programs at University, the one I was interested the most was called "Law".

In my "Suitable for you?" chart, I answered everything as "like very muhc" except presenting ideas and information in writing and providing a service to members of the public, both those things i said "does not matter" to. Now that I think abou it I do not know why i said that, I love presentjng ideas and information in writing very much, a lot. and i enjoy providing services to the public, but i thought of it as community service, as if i would not get paid for it, so i got confused. so everything in my chart i "like very much". I would cope with this amazinigly because I would love every aspect of my job. My original career choice matched the same as my second one, so my interests were matched perfectly. I still think it would be a career choice for me, aside from the whole thing on career cruising linking me to being what I originally chose for a career, i love shows like csi that involve criminal law, i've always wanted ot be one of those lawyers in thsoe shows. also i like arguing and i'm good at getting my point across and i love investigating stuff.

Souray is the man

I went to the hockey game saturday, therefore I am my source.

After 15 minutes of penalty trouble and the canadians sleeping and hanging aebischer out to drive, marek svatos pulled a nice move to get around a canadiens defecenman and passing it to sakic with a wide open net for a goal. 26 seconds later sakic made a pass to the front of the net that craig rivet kicked right to andrew brunette with a wide open net for another goal. 50 seconds later paul stastny scored his first nhl goal. after playing with flat feet and no motivation for 16 minutes the canadians were in depserate need for someone to step up. On the powerplay, a minute after colorado 3rd goal, off a feed from markov, souray blasted a shot past jose the-open-dore. Finally playing with some motivation, on the powerplay, identical to the first goal, off a feed from markov, souray took a laser from the point past theodore. souray also got 2 assists, totalling 2 goals and 2 assists. the score was 3-2 when tyler arnason scored for the avs to make it 4-2. while fans and the players may have been put down, kovalev and samsonov were not as kovalev fed samsonov an amazing pass for an amazing goal and they made the score 4-3. This sparked momentum for the canadiens as 25 seconds into the third period on the powerplay souray passed it to koivu next to the post, and koivu made a nice cross crease pass to ryder and he scored. Craig Rivet stepepd out of the penality box at 5:30 and got a breakaway pass from koivu and scored and jumped up and down...its good to see rivet can contribute somehow...then at 10:55 andrew brunette scored again to tie it at 5. again on the powerplay off a nice play by markov, higgins tucked in the goal. a minute later brisebois caughed up the puck to samsonov msaking a beautiful pass to kovalev in the slot...i dont think its necessary to say what happenned after kovalev got the puck in the slot. after that to top it off at 8-5 johnson took a slapshot from the slot while falling and scored.

This game was probably the most amazing hockey game ever. Everyone was booing and taunting theodore, and at the end I kind of felt bad for him, but I dont care anymore. They were booing brisebois too, but I didnt feel bad for him. I think kovalev is amazing but carbonneau needs to somehow get a better centerman with him and samsonov, plekanec doesnt really do anything. Markov is also amazing, he makes so many nice plays. Higgins and ryder and koivu are an amazing line. Aebischer made so many nice saves. Souray is the man...that's all, souray is so good and if we ever trade him the GM should be immediatly fired. He could be the best defenceman in the league if he would work a lot more on his 1 on 1 coverage, he needs to know how to not get the crap deked out of him, once he does that he can definitly be one of the best defecenman in the league. Hehas the best slap shot in the world. Ryder has the best accurary was his shot too. Kovalev makes so many nice moves its crazy. I can't wait for tonights game against Buffalo I hope we win so badly.

Criminal Lawyer

I want to be a criminal lawyer when I grow up, my aunt is also one. I chose social studies...but I think everyone was told to chose that. I looked at Candice's interview. Typically, people starting off working as a criminal lawyer make from 45,000$-55,000$. Candice's day begins at 9 am, she arrives at a courthouse, she speaks to the counsel of the defence, seeing if there have been any changes in the proceedings. Her day ends at 7 pm preparing for the next day's trial, by researching stuff and going over notes. In order to really enjoy this job, you must really enjoy working inside, meaning indoors, working alone, working at a desk, stnading up a lot, sometimes working with co-workers, using computers, and sometimes writing and drawing. There is not many hours that include serving clients, working with numbers, creating stuff, using machines, working outside, any physical work or travelling.

Unfortunatly, due to me being intrested in being a criminal lawyer, it is frustrating that one of my favorite and strongest subjects is math. I really enjoy working with numbers, doing math, figuring mathematical questions out etc... I guess i could convert this need to work out math questions, to working out psychological questions, or medical questions, or anything involving solving sometihng, which is good because I enjoy figuring stuff out, and I like psychology. I would definitly most enjoy my independance. I am the tpye of person who realies on myself and myself only when it comes to work that I want to get done and understand, so if i develop a passion for being a criminal lawyer i will obviously want to be the best at my job, therefore working by myself is really good for me.

This jobs NOC code is 411, but it says judges and lawyers, so I assume that includes criminal lawyers. AS previously mentioned, early starting criminal lawyers wages are about 50.000$.

Unions

I read about unions. I read abotu the different types of unions. I learned many technical words people use when talking about unions, the workers in a unions and the work places where they gather. I learned how uniosn are created, what they do and what they need to go through in order to get it done. I learned many different outcomes that can happen due to a union taking action. Having unions is a very intelligent thing.

I think unions are an amazing thing for our economy. I do not have any experience to back my opinion up, but judging by things you read, tihngs you hear and tihngs you see and people tell you things and jsut the common typcical stereotype people have for owners, is that they are greedy, unfair and often don't pay you enough. After reading about unions and the different types of unions, how certain ones are organized, what goes on to create a union, how unions work, how they work with one another in certain situations, the steps they take to get their opinions across and make a deal with their bosses, and the different things that can take place when a trade bargain is created. I was very impressed with how organized unions seem to be, I think unions are very benefitial in a mixed economy, because due to trade bargaining, not every specific person gets specificlalyl everytihng they want, but it makes everyone generally happier with their job.

Kovalev will keep flying

http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=180581&hubname=nhl

After a New York Yankees pitcher had an extremly unfortunate accident, losing control of his plane that he took out just to cruise around the new york waters with, lost control of the plane, and while trying to regain control, made a 90 degree turn directly into a building. People thought this was another terrorist attack but were soon given relief to find out it wasnt. Although that is relieiving, everyone is still extremly sad for what happenned to this man. After this event, managers of sports teams starting realizing that they may be letting their players have too much freedom. They sign players for a lot of money, and sign them to be a bug asset their team, some managers have told their players that for instance they cannot fly a plane anymore, or ride a motorcycle. Alex Kovalev flies planes on his pass time, and has decided he will continue to do so, and is greatful that GM Bob Gainey has not forced him to stop

I think it is a huge tragedy to see such a talented man at the sport of baseball lose his life. It goes to show how easily something can happen. I feel extremly bad for the family of the man, I'm sure he had so many extremly loyal fans who are very sad because of this. On the more political note, I don't think any General Manager has the right to tell a player that he or she cannot do soemtihng he or she lvoes to do because it is dangerous. Unless it is originally in the contract, everyone should be allowed to do what thye want, the players should take responsibility and think twice. Alex Kovalev is amazing at hockey.

Forsberg and Flyers fly past the Rangers

Peter Forsberg scored a pretty goal and tallied 2 assists as the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Rangers 4-2. Forsberg now has 2 goals and 3 assists, the first game his team was shutout, so on paper it is in 3 games, but he really got the 5 points in 2 games. Forsbergs lineman Simon Gagne scored his 3 goals of the season, after getting an amazing pass from Forsberg on the powerplay. Niittymaki saved 25 of 27 shots. Forsberg got 3 shots on goal and 4 penalty minutes.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/recap;_ylt=AlFWjcqg9IdqPLExPLjP.RF7vLYF?gid=2006101013&prov=ap

I think the Philadelphia Flyers are an amazing team. Their starting line between Knuble-Forsberg-Gagne has been playing amazing together and their goaleis Esche and Niittymakki have been playing good too. Peter Forsberg is the most amazing player in the world, so I think him getting 3 points in a game is a bad game for him. With their goaltending and their starting line, and young players like Jeff Carter and Mike Richards and RJ Umberger, if they all have great seaons the Flyers could win the Stanley Cup.

Round 13

Captain Peter Forsberg and the Philadelphia Flyers were incapable of winning their game last night. The game went into 13 rounds of shootouts, each 25 previous shots by both teams were saved by each goaltenders but finally Marcel Hossa scored the winner. The crowd erupted when Peter Forsberg went to take his shootout shot, but why wouldnt they, he is just that incredible. MArcel Hossa said he did not want to make any dekes, he went out with the idea to just go and shoot it really quickly five hole, his plan worked as him and the New York Rangers won.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/recap?gid=2006100715&prov=ap

I think Darcy Tucker planted another one of his rocket propellers on the puck (see previous post about the leafs and habs game) when PEter Forsberg went to take his shot, it is impossible for Forsberg not to score when he shoots. Forsberg scored a goal and an assist that game though, Simon Gagne score 2 goals, him and Forsberg are an amazing 1 2 punch. I hate JAromir Jagr.

Yet again, Darcy Tucker and the Leafs suck

Last night, October 7th, the montreal canadiens defeated the toronto maple leafs in a shootout, increasing their record to 1-0-1. Alex Kovalev nearly ended the game in the shootout after deking the crap out of andrew raycroft, but for the second night in a row, after beating the goaltender, the puck was rigged and had mini rocket propellers on it to make it go wherever the person with the remote controlling it made it go (darcy tucker had that remote control). But aebischer came up big to only letting sundin score, and michael ryder ended it with a beautiful shot. Higgins also scored a beauty in the shootout. Mike Johnson scored and so did souray. the shots were 38-33 in favor of toronto.

http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=180150&hubname=nhl

In my opinion darcy tucker shouldnt be playing hockey. alex kovalev is amazing. so is higgins and ryder. aebsicher played amazing, therefreo the canadians may have goalie controversy. andrei markov is amazing. mike johnson is very good. bonk and begin should be sent to the ahl to give latendresse more ice time. niinima is dissapointing me. souray has a blast shot. samsonov needs to play better and perezhogin is good too. mats sundin is really ugly. i really like aebischer, i think everyone was too hard on him last year because he had one bad game, he did only play about 3 in total, but 1 was amazing, 1 was average, but the bad one wa at home, im sure he was feeling nervous and bad, when i went to see a game he was in nets and people were cheering for huet, the montreal fans are idiots and should be more kind and welcomig.
